Long Phol Kontivea Thea

I am Long Phol Kontivea Thea. I am 23 years old. My educational journey commenced at Smartkids International School, where I had the privilege of being a student for a duration of eight years. Throughout my enrollment, I commenced my studies in grade 5, focusing on the English curriculum, and subsequently advanced to grade 7, immersing myself in the Khmer curriculum.

Currently, I am pursuing my undergraduate studies at Macquarie University, located in Sydney, Australia. Within the esteemed Business Faculty, I have chosen to specialize in the Bachelor of Professional Accounting program. This comprehensive course will take four years to complete.

Upon the successful completion of my secondary education, I was granted the opportunity to transfer to Australia following the completion of my 12th grade studies. With the ambition of furthering my academic pursuits, I took the initiative to apply for a bachelor’s degree program at Macquarie University. In recognition of my accomplishments, I am honored to accept the offer of receiving 10,000 scholarship annually from the university.

I am currently in the first semester of my third year, diligently working towards the fulfillment of my degree.  I find myself very challenging while living and study abroad. In addition to my academic pursuits, I have chosen to engage in two part-time job positions during my free time. I actively contribute to Instant Brands Australia Company as an E-commerce assistant, playing an integral role in their online operations.

During my years at Smartkids, I had the privilege of receiving a comprehensive education that encompassed both the English and Khmer curricula. The school’s commitment to academic excellence and holistic development enabled me to expand my knowledge and skills in various subjects. Moreover, teachers and staff played a crucial role in shaping my educational journey. I cherish the friendships and connections I made during my time there.

Studying abroad can be an incredible opportunity to gain valuable academic and cultural experiences. To make the most of your study braid journey here are some tips:

Research your destination: learn about the country, its culture, customs, and education system. Understand the requirements for studying there, such as visas, language proficiency, and academic prerequisite. Plan ahead for your study journey. Determine the degree or major you wish to pursue while studying abroad. Consider the academic goals you hope to achieve and carefully plan your educational path accordingly.
