Chan Ruos holds a Bachelor of Arts in Teaching English as a Foreign Language and a Master of Business Administration in General Management from a local university. Before joining SmartKids in 2012, Chan Ruos had been engaging in many educational workplaces.

Chea Sotheata

Chea Sotheata has been an educator and leader for innovative learning for more than ten years and holds the position as the Leader of Grade1-3 in international curriculum (LG1-3, IC), formerly known as English General Education Program (E.GEP), from 2022.

As the (LG1-G3, IC), Ms. Chea Sotheata manages to bring the effective practice on the implementation of International Curriculum (G1-G3), formerly known as English General Education Program (E.GEP) and school policies, campus1 to ensure qualified academic output produced from safe and environmentally friendly educational institution.

Chea Sotheata holds a Bachelor of Accounting and Master of Business Administration in General Management from a local university. Before joining SmartKids in 2010, Chea Sotheata had been engaging in many educational workplaces.

Chhoy Monita

PIC, Campus 2

Ms. Chhoy Monita has been an educator and a leader in the innovative educational environment for more than ten years. She had joined us in 2010 as a primary school teacher before having promoted as a deputy principal (2014-2023) and currently as the principal in international curriculum (PIC), formerly known as English General Education Program (E.GEP).

As the PIC, Monita professionally manages and leads her team, Siem Reap campus2, to effectively implement the insight of the curriculum and exercise the school policies to ensure qualified academic output for students.

Monita holds a Bachelor of Arts, Humanity and Linguistics in English Literature from a local university. Before joining SmartKids in 2010, Chhoy Monita had been engaging in many educational workplaces.

Dam Kimsan

DPLC-SS, Campus 3

Mr. Dam Kimsan has been an educator and leader for innovative learning for nearly two decades and holds the position as the deputy principal in local curriculum- secondary school (DPLC-SS), formerly known an Khmer General Education Program (K.GEP), from 2022.

As DPLC-HS, Kimsan manages to bring the effective practice on the implementation of local curriculum, formerly known as Khmer General Education Program-High School and school policies, campus3 to ensure qualified academic output produced from safe and environmentally friendly educational institution.

Kimsan holds a Bachelor of Education in English Literature and a Master of Business Administration in General Management from a local university. Before joining SmartKids in 2022, Kimsan had been an administrator, public-school director, lecturer at PUCSR, and engaging in many educational workplaces.

Duch Sun

HIT - Campus 1 & 3

Duch Sun has been the Head of IT (HIT) for more than three years and holds this position from 2020.

As HIT, Mr. Duch Sun maintenances computers, printers, other design: banners, posters, video editing, photography, arranges students top5, post information on school pages (campus1,3), and assists other task requirement from management team and teachers to ensure qualified academic output produced from safe and environmentally friendly educational institution.

Duch Sun holds a Bachelor of Education in English Literature and IT from a local university. Before joining SmartKids in 2020, Duch Sun had been engaging in many educational workplaces, as English and Computer Teaching (IT).

Huoy Kimsroeun

Principal of SMARTKIDS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL (Kampong Thom Branch)

My name is Huoy Kim Sroeun, a Master’s Degree in Education. I’m excited to greet and acknowledge all of beloved students through creative curriculum that encourages students to learn while having fun and to be successful in the upcoming school year.

I have involved my life to the education sector more than 22 years ago, and I started working as a High School Level teacher in a public school, have been worked as a Vice Principal University. At the moment, I am working as the principal of the Kampong Thom branch of SMARTKIDS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL for approximately five years.

My background has influenced the educational and pedagogical approaches I use to facilitate students’ to be active participation in the classroom and beyond. I passionately realized that students can initially take on challenging roles, additionally set clear curriculum, learning environment, extra program, and learning with 4Cs (Communication, Collaboration, Critical thinking and Creativity) of 21^st century.

To sum up, I strongly believe that I will provide students to explore their unique style of learning and assist students to learn with their capacity through the challenge project.

Khat Kimnea

HLSS, LC, Campus 3

Khat Kimnea has been an educator and leader for innovative learning for more than ten years and holds the position as the head of lower secondary school, local curriculum (HLSS, LC), from 2014.

As the (HLSS, LC), Ms. Khat Kimnea manages to bring the effective practice on the implementation of curriculum Khmer General Education Program-Junior high School and school policies of SmartKids International School, campus3 to ensure qualified academic output produced from safe and environmentally friendly educational institution.

Khat Kimnea holds a Bachelor of Mathematics from a local university. Before joining SmartKids in 2013, Khat Kimnea, was as a teacher in Wat Svay High School.

Kong Kimry

STA, Campus 3

Mr. Kong Kimry had been a deputy principal for SIS’ local curriculum (LC), known as Khmer General Education Program (K.GEP) from April 2014 to July 2022 before his current position as the senior technical advisor (STA) which commences from 2023.

As a STA, Mr. Kong Kimry shares his invaluable experiences and technically advises team for effective implement and better improvement within local curriculum.

Mr. Kong Kimry holds a Bachelor of Mathematics from a local university. Before joining SmartKids, he had been a deputy principal at a public school, Angkor high school. He was a teacher of mathematics for two languages at Angkor High School, a mathematics teacher at the Ten January 1979 high school, and at many other educational workplaces.

Chhean Makara

HPS-MS, IC, Campus 1

Miss Chhean Makara has been an educator and a leader in the innovative educational environment for more than ten years. She had joined us in 2012 as a primary school teacher and on August 2023 is promoted as the Head of preschool-middle school in international curriculum (HPS-MS, IC), formerly known as English General Education Program (E.GEP).

As the HPS-MS, Makara professionally coordinates the principal and manages her team, Siem Reap campus1, to effectively implement the insight of the curriculum and exercise the school policies to ensure qualified academic output for students.

Makara holds a holds a Bachelor of Arts in English for International business. Before joining SmartKids in 2012, Chhean Makara had been engaging in many educational workplaces.

Kroch Sreyreath

LG1-3, IC, Campus 2

Kroch Sreyreath has been an educator and leader for innovative learning for more than seven years and holds the position as the leader of grade1-3 in the international curriculum (LG1-3, IC) from 2022.

As the LG1-3, Ms. Kroch Sreyreath manages to bring the effective practice on the implementation of the international curriculum and school policies, campus 2 to ensure qualified academic output produced from safe and environmentally friendly educational institution.

Kroch Sreyreath has been studying Bachelor of teaching English as foreign languages and currently studying at Pannasastra (PUC). Before joining SmartKids in 2015, Kroch Sreyreath had been engaging in many educational workplaces.

Lass Tith

DPIC, Campus 1

Miss Lass Tith has been an educator and a leader in the innovative educational environment for more than ten years. She had joined us in 2012 as a primary school teacher before having promoted as a head of teachers (2014-2023) and currently as the deputy principal in the international curriculum (DPIC), formerly known as English General Education Program (E.GEP).

As the DPIC, Tith professionally coordinates the principal and manages her team, Siem Reap campus1, to effectively implement the insight of the curriculum and exercise the school policies to ensure qualified academic output for students.

Tith holds a Bachelor of Arts in English for International business and a Master of Arts in English from a local university. Before joining SmartKids in 2012, Lass Tith had been engaging in many educational workplaces.

Lay Savong

PIC, Campuses 1, 3, 6A

Ms. Lay Savong has been an educator and a leader in the innovative educational environment for more than ten years. She had joined us in 2009 as a primary school teacher before having promoted as a deputy principal (2014-2023) and currently as the principal in the international curriculum (PIC), formerly known as English General Education Program (E.GEP).

As the PIC, Savong professionally manages and leads her team, Siem Reap campuses 1, 3, and 6A, to effectively implement the insight of the curriculum and exercise the school policies to ensure qualified academic output for students.

Savong holds a Bachelor of Education in English Literature, a Master of Business Administration in General Management, and a Master of Arts in English from a local university. Before joining SmartKids in 2009, she had been engaging in many educational workplaces.

Leng Chantha

Head of Entrepreneurship and Academics Program 7-12 (H.EAP 7-12) - Campus 3

Leng Chantha has been an educator and leader for innovative learning for more than ten years and holds this position from 2022.

As H. EAP7-12, Mr. Leng Chantha manages to bring the effective practice on the implementation of curriculum Entrepreneurship and Academics Program7-12 (EAP7-12) and school policies of SmartKids International School, campus3 to ensure qualified academic output produced from safe and environmentally friendly educational institution.

Leng Chantha holds a Bachelor of Education in English Literature (TEFL), a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in General Management, and a Master of Arts in English (MA in English) from a local university. Before joining SmartKids in 2022, Leng Chantha worked as Head of Department and Senior English Lecturer at Build Bright University and had also been engaging in many educational research workplaces.

Nav Chantha

Deputy Director General in General Affairs (DDGGA)

Nav Chantha has been an educator, school co-founder, leader and initiative for innovative learning for nearly two decades.

As the DDGGA, Mr. Chantha assists the Director General oversees the effective implementation and development of curriculum and school policies of SmartKids International School campuses, in Siem Reap, Kompong Thom and Phnom Penh. Chantha works in partnership with departments, communities, teachers, staff, parents and students to ensure that SmartKids maintains high academic standards and a safe and environmental friendly for in all campuses.

As an initiative in education, Chantha directed the major development of curriculum by integrating Mandarin Chinese, STREAM and Online Class Learning into English General Education Program in 2014, 2017 and 2020, respectively. He also led SmartKids to sign MOU with Da Li University, China in 2018.

Mr. Chantha holds a Bachelor of Education in English Literature, a Bachelor of Tourism and Hospitality in Tourism Management and a Master of Business Administration in General Management from a local university. Before joining SmartKids in 2010, Chantha was a head teacher of Integrate Institute, a lecturer of English in Build Bright University and a senior lecture of Meanchey University.

Ou Leakhena

HUSS, LC, Campus 3

Ou Leakhena has been an educator and leader for innovative learning for more than ten years and holds the position as the head of upper secondary school, local curriculum (HUSS, LC) from 2022.

As the HUSS, LC, Mrs. Ou Leakhena manages to bring the effective practice on the implementation of curriculum Khmer General Education Program-High School and school policies of SmartKids International School, campus3 to ensure qualified academic output produced from safe and environmentally friendly educational institution.

Ou Leakhena holds a Bachelor of Accounting and Finance and a Master of Banking and Finance from a local university. Before joining SmartKids in 2022, Ou Leakhena, was a vice chief officer in academic and a lecturer of Accounting in Build Bright University.

Pen Sokchann

Deputy Directress General (Siem Reap Campuses)

A bachelor holder and a master pursuer yet an accounting practitioner serval year both for different local businesses and self-employed, Ms. Pen Sokchann, now, plays a key role, the deputy directress general in Administration and Finance Department of SMARTKIDS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, all campuses in Siem Reap, Cambodia. She has been in the mentioned position since 2010.

Apart from the position, Sochann is a core founder and a shareholder of the company she is serving for.

Her main philosophy is “Students and Staff First!” and this is why she keeps participating and pushing with all school departments and beyond school stakeholders to ensure that students and staff are physically and mentally safe and prosperous in academic, socioemotional, and financial aspects.

Another significant strength of hers is firm and fun communication.

Phall Phanny

LPS-K, IC, Campus 6A

Phall Phanny has been an educator and leader for innovative learning for more than 5 years and holds the position as the leader of preschool-kindergarten (LPS-K), from 2022.

As the LPS-K, Ms. Phall Phanny manages to bring the effective practice on the implementation of school policies of SmartKids International School, campus6A to ensure qualified academic output produced from safe and environmentally friendly educational institution.

Phall Phanny holds a Bachelor of Education in Teaching English as Foreign Language from a local university. Before joining SmartKids in 2017, Phall Phanny had been engaging in many educational workplaces at community organization school.

Pich Chunny

Deputy Head of Administration Office, In Charge of Internal and Public Relations (DHAIP)

Pich Chunny has been a school co-founder and a administration officer for more than six years and holds this position in 2017.

As the DHAIP, Pich Chunny manages the effective implementation of administrative workflow of SmartKids International School of all campuses in Siem Reap.

Pich Chunny holds a Bachelor of Law Administration and administration certificates from a local university. Before joining SmartKids in 2017, Pich Chunny had been engaging in many administrative workplaces.

Po Sam Eng

Deputy Principal in Khmer and English General Education Program (DPKE.GEP)

Po Sam Eng has been an educator and leader for innovative learning for nearly two decades and has held this position since 2018.

As DPKE.GEP, Mr. Po Sam Eng manages to bring the effective practice on the implementation of curriculum in Khmer General Education and English General Education Programs and school policies of SmartKids International School, Campus 4, in Phnom Penh to ensure qualified academic output produced from a safe and environmentally friendly educational institution.

Po Sam Eng holds a Bachelor of Education in English Literature (TEFL) and a Master of Arts in English from a local university. Before joining SmartKids in 2018, Po Sam Eng had been a Director of Centre for Foreign Languages and International Relations, Assistant Dean of Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Languages, and Senior English Lecturer at Build Bright University, engaging in many educational workplaces.

Suong Sorithea

Head of Active Centre for International Education-P.BA-A24 (H. ACIE-P.BA-A24)

Suong Sorithea has been an educator and leader for innovative learning for more than ten years and holds this position from 2022.

As H. ACIE, Mr. Suong Sorithea manages to bring the effective practice on the implementation of curriculum Entrepreneurship and Academics Program7-12 (EAP7-12) and school policies of SmartKids International School, campus3 to ensure qualified academic output produced from safe and environmentally friendly educational institution.

Suong Sorithea holds a Bachelor of Education in English Literature and a Master of English from a local university. Before joining SmartKids in 2012, Suong Sorithea had been engaging in many educational workplaces.

Thea Long Phol Kontivea

Deputy Directress in FO (Siem Reap Campuses)

Miss Long Phol Kontivea Thea is the Deputy Directress of Siem Reap Campuses at SMARTKIDS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, with responsibilities in the Finance Office (FO) for campus 1, 3, and 6A in Siem Reap, Cambodia. She assumed this position in August 2023.

Tivea holds a diploma and an internship for the Bachelor of Professional Accounting at Macquarie University, Australia. She has also been an accounting practitioner for various small business enterprises in Australia and served as an online accountant officer for SIS since 2021.

Her financial philosophy revolves around the belief that “Good debt can improve a company’s financial situation, but the ultimate goal is to have no debt owed to any stakeholders.” To achieve this, she meticulously monitors the school’s financial performance throughout each month.

Another important piece of advice she imparts is to ‘owe nothing to staff.

Tho Sareth

LPS-K, IC, Campus 2

Tho Sareth has been an educator and leader for innovative learning for more than seven years and holds the position as the leader of preschool-kindergarten, international curriculum (LPS-K, IC) from 2022.

As the LPS-K, Mrs. Tho Sareth manages to bring the effective practice on the implementation of curriculum English General Education Program (Pre.K-K2) and school policies of SmartKids International School, campus 2 to ensure qualified academic output produced from safe and environmentally friendly educational institution.

Tho Sareth has been studying Bachelor of Teaching English as foreign languages and currently studying at Pannasastra (PUC). Before joining SmartKids in 2015, Tho Sareth had been engaging in many educational workplaces.

Thy Chanthida

Thy Chanthida has been an educator and leader for innovative learning for more than seven years and holds the position as the head of leader of grade4-6, international curriculum (LG4-6, IC) from 2022.

As the LG4-6, Ms. Thy Chanthida manages to bring the effective practice on the implementation of policies, campus 2 to ensure qualified academic output produced from safe and environmentally friendly educational institution.

Thy Chanthida has been studying for a Bachelor degree in English for International Business at a local university (Year3) and currently studying part-time in the Diploma of English Program at a well-known institute (ACE). Before joining SmartKids in 2014, Thy Chanthida had been engaging in many educational workplaces, such as the Phare Ponlue Selpak organization and Phare Performing Social Enterprise.

Ung Channavy has been an educator and leader for innovative learning for more than ten years and holds the position as the head of preschool-middle school, international curriculum (HPS-MS, IC), from 2022.
