Upper Secondary School

Grade 10 – Grade 12

Through the curriculum framework of general and technical education, issued by MoEYS, our upper secondary schoolers are critically knowledgeable in acquiring solid Khmer Literature, Sciences, Social Science, Mathematics, Physical Health, and Moral Ethics, solid basic Science, and English Language.

Students develop methods in constructing; solid and broader basic skills in Khmer Literature (comparing, explaining, analyzing, interpreting, and solving problems); solid basic Mathematics (calculating, comparing, explaining, analyzing, interpreting, and solving problems); basic science; critical thinking and problem-solving process and broader social communication techniques, health prevention and primary health care, and ethics to protect and enhance the good deeds.

Students further develop positive learning attitudes as they love and value the lifelong study; know and value loving-kindness and compassion for family, friends, and other people; preserve and develop the cultures, traditions, and arts of the nation, region, and international; love and value the environment, science, and technology; love clean bodies, schools, homes, and public places; construct habits and practices of healthy life styles through labor and sporting; and are responsible for own actions and groups in the study and daily life.

They are making and testing a clinometer tool measuring the height of a tree, from which they are able to link mathematical theory with their daily lives.

Students are encouraged to build self-directed learning environment among their team so that they gradually acquire the 21ST CENTURY NEEDED SKILLS ‘Truthfulness, Teamwork, Innovation, Problem Solving, Flexibility, Global Knowledge, Perseverance & Resilience, Communication, Critical Intellectual, Civic Involvement, Leadership, and AI Ability.’

Steam Corners

Students passionately and joyfully take parts in pure mathematics science projects as with the geometry of banking a basket; biology experiments as with making plants move with light and extracting DNA from a strawberry; chemistry experiments as with breaking apart covalent bonds, measuring the calories in various foods and determining whether sports drinks provide more electrolytes than OJ; physics experiments as with removing the air in a DIY vacuum chamber, boiling water in a paper cup and putting together a mini Tesla coil; engineering experiments as with re-creating Da Vinci’s flying machine, racing 3D printed cars and launching a model rocket; and more.
